Choctaw County Schools will be extend spring break though next week out of caution to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. There will be no games, practices or extracurricular activities! The safety of not only our students is a priority but also our wonderful communities.


CCSD will be closed next week to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. There will be no athletic events, practices or extracurricular activities of any kind. We ask everyone to exercise good hygiene and avoid crowds during this time. Stay safe and keep charging forward!


Kindergarten students at Ackerman Elementary School did an amazing job on their spring program!





Ramzey Trice, a 5th grader at Ackerman Elementary School, saved his Charger Bucks to buy a Principal for a Day pass. He did a great job helping, making announcements, setting up an ice cream party, and dismissing school! Great job Ramzey!




5th graders at Ackerman Elementary School were rewarded for great scores and growth on their Benchmark tests with lunch at Costa Mexican Restaurant.





1st graders at Ackerman Elementary School celebrated meeting their AR Goal with ice cream sundaes and a drink! Great job!




Ackerman Elementary School students enjoyed green eggs and ham on Thursday morning for breakfast during Read Across America Week!





Mrs. Turnipseed and Mrs. K. Tuck’s students at Ackerman Elementary School are doing an excellent job on their center work. These students are on track with their computer center, independent work, and teacher tables.

Ackerman Elementary School hosted a Pre-K Grandparent’s Day Lunch on Thursday! Thank you to all of the family members and volunteers who came to eat lunch with the students!




Wacky Wednesday was so fun along with having classroom readers on Wednesday at Ackerman Elementary School.




Mrs. Lucas had her 6th graders at AES present skits to classmates to demonstrate different political systems. Fun times!

Mrs. Sanders has her 4th graders at Ackerman Elementary School working on EADMS. They are reading a passage, breaking down the information, and discussing important details before answering questions. Great job!
