
Mrs. Wise taught WES students about Bicycle safety. The Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services B.R.A.I.N. Helmet program donated the helmets. The students were given helmets after completing the lessons. The staff and students are thankful for receiving safety equipment for the students. Have fun riding your bikes and stay safe this Labor Day!

Students eat breakfast and lunch in the classrooms. They are enjoying watching daily learning videos that are about the lessons they are learning. This has brought some great Math and Science discussion.


1st grade students are working on Math lessons learning how to add and subtract within 20. They are doing great and working hard!





1st and 2nd grade students are working on Growth Mindset. They are setting goals for the year; and the students are writing 3 things they are good at and 1 that they are not good at -YET!

Orientation for distance learning will be on August 12th. The school will call parents of distance learning students to set up an appointment. Orientation is required. Students and Parents must attend. During orientation you will be given a device and other supplies along with training on how to use the devices.


In-person open house for Pre-K and NEW Kindergarten students will be on Monday, August 10th. The school will call parents/guardians to set-up an appointment.


As we start the school year and make preparations for school safety, we are glad to see our supply orders being filled. This week Weir Elementary School has received protective equipment for staff, teachers, and students.
