Ackerman Elementary School students had a special visitor on Thursday. The Grinch came to visit for the morning arrival! #teamAES





Mrs. Zirlott and Mrs. Fondren’s prek class at Ackerman Elementary School had a great time at their Polar express pajama day. They made bell necklaces and reindeer food and had hot chocolate and gingerbread for snack. #teamAES





Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary had a Polar Express pajama party on Tuesday. They made jingle bell necklaces and reindeer food, painted Christmas trees with forks, read The Polar Express book and watched the movie, and had a hot chocolate and donut snack to end the day. #teamAES





Mrs. Joelie Miller’s homeroom and Mrs. Turnipseed and Mrs. K. Tuck’s homeroom classes collected the most Box Tops and drink tabs and each received a pizza party! Ackerman 20th Century Club sponsored the pizza parties and the collection of the items! #teamAES



Ackerman Elementary School 5th grade teachers have made the hallway into an amazing display inspired by The Polar Express! Great job teachers! #teamAES





Mrs. Davis and Mrs. Telano have their kindergarten students at Ackerman Elementary School on track with their numbers, colors, STAR tests, and crafts! These students are working super hard!! #teamAES





3rd graders in Mr. Richardson’s math class at Ackerman Elementary School are on track with their multiplication. Jerry Dinning and Anistan Stewart have mastered all the facts and received lunch today as a treat, in addition to extra computer time! Great job students! #teamAES



Students in Mrs. Conner’s 2nd grade class at Ackerman Elementary School read the book Mooseltoe, created their own tree, and then compared and contrasted their tree to Moose’s tree! #teamAES





Mrs. Busby and Mrs. Cagle’s class at Ackerman Elementary School are working hard in class. The students are doing a great job on their numbers, colors, independent work, and computer programs. #teamAES




Mrs. Turnipseed and Mrs. K. Tuck’s 1st grade students at Ackerman Elementary School are doing an excellent job on their phonics. #teamAES





Mrs. Miller’s 5th graders had a great time creating sweaters as part of their writing class. Winners were chosen for the “tackiest” and “most creative” sweaters. Winners will be given lunch from Weavers on Monday! #teamAES





Students in Ms. Wehr’s class at Ackerman Elementary School are working on rough drafts of their informational essays! #teamAES




6th graders at Ackerman Elementary School designed State “Floats” complete with information that they researched in class, and they are now participating in the Great American Mail Race by writing letters to schools across the nation. Social Studies can be super fun! #teamAES





This year. the Batson Toy Drive that Ackerman Elementary School will be doing is all virtual. If you would like to donate toys to the Batson Hospital, please read all the information in the attachments. #teamAES





Ackerman Elementary School Chargers in Charge for the month of November did an amazing job! These students led by example and had wonderful behavior and character. #teamAES
