PreK students at Ackerman Elementary have been raising caterpillars over the last few weeks during their units about spring and insects. The caterpillars finally emerged as butterflies last week, and the students enjoyed releasing them this week. #teamAES



Mrs. Busby and Mrs. Krystie’s class at Ackerman Elementary School had a great time visiting the Choctaw County Library! They learned about Earth Day, listened to stories about plants, and helped sprinkle seeds in the flower bed. They also enjoyed a picnic lunch and playtime at the park. #teamAES





Journee Rogers, a 3rd grader at Ackerman Elementary School, is the Prodigy Star in Mr. Richardson’s class for this week! Journee is on a roll and has been the top star for multiple weeks! Great job! #teamAES


Mrs.Emily Tuck’s Kindergarten students at AES assisted Ackerman 20th Century Club Conservation Co-Chair, Ashley Williams, in an Earth Day Project yesterday. Students were given dirt, flower pots and seeds. Students were able to pick out and plant their seeds. The students will water and watch their flowers grow and take them home at the end of the year. #teamAES
